Aida was born in Mostar, Bosnia, Europe.

She received her Bachelor's degree in Electrical Science in 1986. Due to war in her native country, Aida and her family came to the United States in 1995. She began her career in the U.S. in 1997, upon completion of an Associate's Degree in Drafting Design.

Aida has been working in the lighting industry since 2005, and joined Visionaire Lighting in 2009.

Aida is married, with two grown children, Maya and Ana.

In her free time, she enjoys yoga, reading, and spending time with her family.
